PT Sari Husada Tbk is one of the largest Baby Food companies and milk producers in Indonesia. The company has taken an active role in developing communities where they work, especially in the Yogyakarta area on the island of Java. Several projects in a variety of fields – including education, economic development, social affairs and culture – have already been implemented.

One Sari Husada project, GNOTA Orphans, aims to help children in need receive better care and education. Launched in 1995 as the “Sari Husada Cares Orphan Programme,” the project started small, helping 20 orphans from primary, junior high and senior high schools. In 2001 Sari Husada joined with the Foster Parent Program of the Foster Parent Foundation, YL-GNOTA, increasing its contributions. Today, both through the GNOTA Orphans’ programme and its own direct giving, Sari Husada helps fund educations for 2000 orphans, giving Rupiah 10,000 (€0.86) a month per child – 1,500 children are assisted through YL-GNOTA, and 500 through PT Sari Husada Tbk.
